Good Morning Beautilicious:

Sorry I have been MIA. I have been really busy with work and school. I am back to stay. YAY!!!

I see so many beauty bloggers baking their face and it looks really good but is this method for everyone?  Lets start off by defining what is baking and I am not talking about baking a cake. Although I rather bake a cake than my face. LOL

Baking refers to letting translucent powder sit on your face for five to 10 minutes, which allows the heat from your face to set your base foundation and concealer, and then dusting it off your face, leaving you with a creaseless, flawless finish. We have to be very careful what translucent powder we use. There are a lot out there that leaves  a white cast on your skin without you noticing until you take a picture with flash.

Below you will see a few products I recommend.

MAC Set Powder - Invisible - 30 g / 1.1 US oz    Airspun Loose Face Powder 41 Translucent Extra Coverage - 2.3oz, 041 Translucent Extra Coverage Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder, Size 0.07 oz - No Color   Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder - Fair Covergirl Clean Professional Loose Powder, Translucent Fair 105, .7 oz, Clear   CHANEL POUDRE UNIVERSELLE LIBRE Natural Finish Loose Powder, 30 - NATUREL - TRANSLUCENT 2, 1 OZ., matte, sheer, lightweight

Baking under the eye is not for everyone especially if you have fine lines. The  translucent powder to set the under eye  gets caught in fine lines and accentuate lines that were not visible without the powder.

If you have dry skin powder makeup will only emphasize dry skin and can easily look caked-on.

Once your skin begins to show signs of ageing you need to be strategic with your application technique as well as the amount of product you’re using. Try to limit powder to only the areas of the face that truly require it and I don’t mean baking the areas you need it. Just a tad bit of powder on the areas that get shinier throughout the day.

If you bake your face and you look like a 90 year old then this method is not for you. I know this is not for me.

Remember you are beautiful no matter what.
